I Googled it- everything was from 5+ years ago. I tried again for this site and some German software came up. I tried using the search bar on this site, no luck. I know this will take been asked before simply I haven't got all day to search.
Is there a fashion to bank check the shutter count without downloading some dodgy looking software?

I'1000 struggling here myself. I've spent an hour looking for a Windows or Android solution. Nothing for Android except the paid DSLR Controller. For Windows, aught gratis works, and I'k afraid to pay and find out it still doesn't work.
My favorite is the "free shutter count" at http://www.freeshuttercount.com/ that is free to download but in one case y'all install their (probably spyware) app AND special drivers, you accept to pay to get your shutter count. What the ferk?
Guess I'll pay for something. I did this last time I sold a trunk, but I can't figure out how I did it for free.

He hosts the files on his Google Drive. You don't fifty-fifty need to install anything. Just put the .exe and two .dll files in the same directory and launch the .exe file. Simple.

Yes. I thankfully downloaded a copy earlier that. Unfortunately, it has not worked on anything newer than the 6D thus far (7Dii, 5Div, 1DXii).
I've establish zilch for Windows that works on these yet, fifty-fifty ones others say piece of work fine. I gave up and am merely sending them in to CSP before selling.
